Dover man found shot and killed in car, police say
A 21-year-old Dover man was found in a car dead from a gunshot wound Friday night in the Rodney Village community just south of Dover, Delaware State Police announced Saturday night.
Officers responded to the 200 block of David Hall Road just after 7 p.m. Friday for a reported shooting, police said. They found the man dead in a vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body, police said.
Early investigations revealed a physical altercation between the victim and an unknown suspect occurred before the victim was shot in or near the vehicle, police said. After the conflict, the suspect fled the scene. There is no suspect information available.
Police did not identify the victim.
