Police are investigating an early-morning road rage shooting on Interstate 495 that left one man injured Sunday.

The "interaction between the two drivers before the shooting is under investigation," Delaware State Police said.

According to the agency, troopers were called to I-495 near its merge with I-95 about 12:30 a.m. for reports of the shooting. There, they found a 47-year-old man shot in the wrist.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

In a short news release, police said that an "unknown blue car" pulled next to the man and shot at his vehicle. It then sped away.

The incident comes less than four months after another road-rage incident on I-495 in which shots were fird. That one happened Dec. 28.

A 2-month-old baby was in the car at the time of that incident. Neither the infant nor the driver were injured, and the suspect was later arrested.

Police are looking for the driver in Sunday's incident. A news release said there is not currently information about the suspect.
