SALISBURY, Md.— Salisbury can now brace itself for a new Italian eatery option.

Ripieno’s Ristorante Italiano is set to bring a location to North Salisbury Boulevard, according to SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate, which announced the deal Wednesday.

The land that will soon make way for the planned "upscale" Italian dining eatery used to serve as a commercial office and small residence. Its now expected to carry both indoor and outdoor seating for Ripieno’s, including a deck on the north side overlooking Leonard’s Pond.

SVN Miller estimated construction will start by late spring or summer, with a grand opening eyed for this fall. The deal itself marks the final transaction in a development that has included Aldi Grocery Store and Panera Bread.

“Amid a very unusual year and business/real estate climate locally and regionally, this type of deal shows that there remains a strong interest in Salisbury," said Tonney Insley in a press release. "I look forward to Ripieno’s and having a locally owned and operated place to get great food."

As word of the location began brewing in 2019, this new Ripieno's restaurant was described to Delmarva Now as an upscale, "white tablecloth" version of the business's Ocean City location — known for its giant pizzas.
